Jones was an all-around athlete. He earned eight athletic awards as a fullback in football, guard in basketball, and first baseman in baseball. Theodore's senior year he was the football and baseball teams captain.Â
Committed to the betterment of mankind through education, Jones spent 42 years teaching school in Ohio. In 1953 he earned his master's degree from Western Reserve University, exemplifying his personal philosophy of life-long learning.
Retired in 1968, Jones lived in New Mexico at the time of his induction.
