William H. Hollinger Hall of Fame
Hubbell was a four-year letterman in football and track, and captained both teams during his senior year. He alternated at quarterback and halfback on the gridiron and was a sprinter on the track squad. He was outstanding at the 110 and 220-yard dashes, the hurdles, broad jump and the quarter mile and was the anchor man in both relay events.
While at Hiram, he sang in the church choir and was a member of the Hiram Glee Club and of Delphic Literary Society.
He served his community as the Clerk of Courts in Bedford and remained a true son of Hiram College until his death in 1971.
