Hiram College

Sponseller was a halfback, punter, and co-captain of the football team his senior year. Jim also earned two athletic awards for his fine performances as forward of the basketball team.

Following his four years at Hiram College, he went on to earn his master's degree at Western Reserve University and pursued a committed and distinguished career in the field of education, teaching in the Cuyahoga Heights School system.
