William H. Hollinger Hall of Fame
A four-year participant in both football and track. During that time, MacKenzie earned a total of eight letters, four in each sport. In addition, MacKenzie was active as class treasurer and head proctor in Grey Hall and was vice president of the ball and chain club.
As of his induction, MacKenzie was the vice president of the American Society of Travel Agents for the western region, and retired from American Airlines where he was vice president of agency and interline sales. MacKenzie was selected the San Diego Travel Man of the Year in 1987, is active in several travel organizations and committees and frequently serves as guest instructor at several southern California colleges and travel schools. He also enjoys gardening, wood working, ranching and traveling for business and pleasure.
