Matt Morris was a standout four-year member (1993-96) of the Hiram College football team as a defensive lineman. During his playing career, he earned four varsity letters as well as being a two-time All-American and two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference Award winner. He posted 216 career tackles and 23.5 quarterback sacks.

Morris currently owns two school records for most sacks in a season with 10.5 which he set as a senior and overall career sacks (23.5). In addition, he earned a number of team awards including the “Top Dawg” Award (1993) and best defensive lineman on two occasions (1995-96).

After completing his collegiate playing career, Morris went on to sign with the New Jersey Red Dawgs of the Arena Football League. Morris graduated from Hiram in 1997 and went on to spend four years as production manager and nine years in operations management for Net Logistics and Warehousing Distribution Centers. As of his induction, he worked in operations management for Sears Holdings Corporation.
