William H. Hollinger Hall of Fame
April Elwood was a four-year member of the Hiram College softball team as a student-athlete. Elwood was a four-year letterwinner and an All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference Award winner. In addition, she was named the team “Most Valuable Player” as a senior.
Elwood is a 1991 graduate of Hiram and went on to earn her Master’s degree from Georgia State University. As of her induction, she was the National Conference Coordinator & Marketing Coordinator as well as serving as a Child Life Specialist with the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta organization. Elwood also has continued to be active playing in recreational softball as well as tennis as a member of the Atlanta Lawn & Tennis Association (ATLA). As a member of ATLA, she has been a three-time city champion.
