A primarily distance runner for the track and field and cross country teams, Jenny (Wilke) Etchill '03 was a seven-time letter winner between the two programs.
Earning four letters as a cross country runner, Etchill was a three-time All-North Coast Athletic Conference honoree.
As a freshman in 1999, Etchill earned second-team honors with a 12th-place finish. She followed that with a 10th-place performance at the 2000 championships, before earning First-Team All-Conference honors with a fifth-place finish in 2001 (19:34.78).
Along with the honors, she earned All-Ohio and All-Region laurels three times, while holding the school record in both the 5k and 6k races.
In track, Etchill was a three-time letter winner, capturing a pair of All-Conference honors in the 10k. She earned third-place finishes both as a sophomore in 2001 and then again as a senior in 2003.
Following graduation, Etchill gained employment with Sandusky City Schools, where, as of her induction, she had been working for the past 15 years. In her time in Sandusky, she also has served as a coach for the cross country, track and swimming programs.
