Melissa Hale played both basketball (1992-94) and was a member of the track and field team (1994-96) as a student at Hiram. She excelled as a track athlete, earning All-American honors as a junior and senior. She received the school’s Charles A. Henry Award, which is given to the most outstanding junior scholar-athlete, in 1995 and was the Ohio Athletic Conference Clyde A. Lamb Scholar Athlete in 1996. In addition, Melissa was the recipient of the Hiram Helen M. Petroskey Award during her senior year.
Following graduation, Melissa became an accountant with a manufacturing company in Cincinnati for nine years. As of her induction, she was the Director of Purchasing and Materials Management with a store fixture manufacturer in Twinsburg, Ohio.
