Josh Toot’s four-year career with the Terriers was nothing short of remarkable, as he graduated in the spring of 1999 with the most hits (160), home runs (16), RBI (110) and total bases (233) in Hiram program history – those marks all still rank in the top-5 by a Hiram student-athlete today. He batted over .350 in every season of his career, too, and is one of six Hiram players all-time to reach the 150-hit plateau. The statistics lifted Toot to many honors, including three All-OAC selections: First Team in 1997, Second Team in 1999 and Honorable Mention in 1998. Toot was also a team captain in his final collegiate season.

From 1996 to 1999, the Hiram baseball team won 15+ games in every season with Toot leading the way at the plate. Toot thanks both Jenter and assistant Ron Aulet for being great coaches and mentors throughout his career.

Toot’s professional career began at Sky Bank (which was acquired by Huntington Bank in 2007) as a trainee in 2001. He worked as a teller, personal banker, branch manager, district manager, business banker, commercial lender, and market manager. He was the Head of Commercial Banking for Home Savings and Loan (now Premier Bank) beginning in 2017, and accepted his current position, Regional President, in October 2021.

Toot is a member of the David Anderson Junior/Senior High School Athletic Hall of Fame and currently coaches for the Canfield Baseball Club Rec and Travel team.
