Active in all four sports, Bob centered his attention on football, where he was the starting quarterback, co-captain and Most Valuable Player his senior year. His leadership on the team proved a great example for his fellow teammates.
In addition to his busy athletic pursuits, Bob was also a member of Kappa Sigma Pi, Junior class president, and a member of the Black Key Society.
After leaving Hiram, he went on to coach football and basketball at Hudson High School and becoming a principal after serving one year as an assistant. In addition to teaching, Bob also kept up his own studies, earning his Master's degree form Akron University. After 25 years of service to the Hudson schools, Bob, as of his induction, was a real estate agent for Dick Weber Realty and coached eighth grade girls' basketball.
