Scott Cothren was a four-year member of the Terrier track & field teams, while also playing a pair of seasons for the Hiram football program.
The 2004 Campbell Award winner, Cothren was an eight-time All-NCAC selection, and a two-time conference champion.
His best seasons came outdoors, where he was a six-time all-conference honoree. Cothren captured a pair of individual titles at the conference level in the 400-meter hurdles, winning the title in both 2002 and 2003. In addition, he earned a pair of all-conference laurels in the decathlon (2002, 2004) and the high jump (2003, 2004).
Along with his all-conference awards, Cothren also earned a pair of team awards, garnering Field M.V.P honors in 2002 and the overall MVP award in 2003.
During his indoor seasons, Cothren added two more all-conference honors to his totals, posting third-place finishes in the high jump in back-to-back seasons in 2003 and 2004.
Following graduation, Cothren went on to earn his Master's degree in business management. As of his induction, he resided in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
