Caswell Jr. made history in 2009, becoming the first Hiram football student-athlete to earn All-NCAC First Team honors after a memorable four-year career in the blue and red. The nose tackle was a four-time all-conference selection, which also included Second Team honors in 2008 and Honorable Mention selections in 2006 and 2007. The accolades piled up with the team awards, too, highlighted by the program’s Newcomer of the Year in 2006, Most Valuable Defensive Lineman in 2007, Defensive Captain Award in 2008 and three Defensive Player of the Game awards in 2009. The Plain Dealer named Caswell Jr. to its All-Ohio Second Team to cap off his four seasons. He currently ranks sixth in program history in tackles for loss (30.5).
Caswell Jr. credits the late Bob Wolfe (Hiram Football Head Coach, 2007-09) as the most influential figure throughout his time at Hiram College. “He treated me with so much respect and pushed me to become the player I was during my college career. Without him, I don’t think I would have accomplished all that I did,” Caswell Jr. said of Wolfe.
After graduating from Hiram, Caswell Jr. earned his master’s degree in financial accounting from Walden University in 2016 and moved to the US Virgin Islands. He has worked as an Assistant Financial Controller for a major grocery chain (2013-15) and as a financial analyst for the Virgin Islands Port Authority (2015-22). He currently is a video editor and videographer, while also working as a vacation home property manager/owner.
