Hiram College

Bitner performed with credit in a wide range of sports during his years at Hiram College. Four years as an end and receiver for the football team, four years as a forward on the basketball team and several years for the track, tennis and baseball teams mark his as a tremendous competitor in the fields of athletic endeavor. 

While at Hiram, Bitner was a class officer for three years. After graduation he spent forty years as a manager within the Glass Containers Corporation. Since retired, and as of his induction, he's stayed involved with sports as a tennis instructor in Florida.
