William H. Hollinger Hall of Fame
On the mat, Levels was a three-time PAC Champion in the Heavyweight Division, winning the honors in 1973, 1974 and 1975, while on the football field, Levels was a three-time All-PAC selection as a linebacker. He received the Campbell Award in 1975 as Hiram’s Male Student-Athlete of the Year.
Levels was also the United States Heavyweight Champion in Greco-Roman Wrestling in 1975 and went on to win the Bronze Medal in the World University Games. He was also a member of the 1976 USA Olympic Team.
Levels went on to become head wrestling coach at Allegheny College where he also served as head athletic trainer. Levels has been active in the Olympic wrestling administration and has served a an instructor of education at both Penn State University and Allegheny College.
In addition, Levels was the Coordinator of Minority Student Services at Penn State and is the author of two papers dealing with retention of minority
students at Penn State. Self-employed as of his induction, Levels enjoys woodworking and fishing.
