Hiram College

Garvin was a three-sport star (volleyball, basketball and softball) for the Terriers from 1982 to 1986. She served as captain of the volleyball squad
three times and was selected team most valuable player twice. She was also captain of the softball team for three years.

At the time of her induction, Garvin was an assistant professor of biology at Oberlin College.
