Crafts competed in both basketball and track all four years on campus and was selected co-captain of the Terrier basketball squad in his senior
year.
A member of Sigma Delta Si, Crafts was elected president of his sophomore class served as class treasurer as a senior, was active in the Student Senate and Student Affairs Council and was listed in Who's Who in American Colleges.
Crafts lost his life in World War II while serving in European Theater action with the U.S. Army. He was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart during his military career.
