Alexandra Singer made her presence felt immediately at the first base position with Hiram softball, earning NFCA First-Team All-Region and All-NCAC First Team in her first year with the program (2010). She later went on to earn back-to-back All-NCAC Second Team awards, helping spearhead the 2011 team to their second NCAC Tournament title and second NCAA Tournament berth along the way.

Singer was a true slugger over her three seasons, ranking among the top-10 in program history in batting average (.360), on-base percentage (.414), slugging percentage (.535), doubles (34), home runs (eight) and RBI (77). She also had a near-perfect fielding percentage, tying the career Hiram record with a clip of .989. Singer earned the Outstanding Senior Female Leadership Award following her collegiate career in 2012.

Singer’s favorite memory at Hiram College was that special run in the 2011 NCAC Tournament, when the Terriers beat Denison in a winner-take-all game, 3-2, in Granville, OH.

“It wasn’t just about the trophy,” Singer said of the 2011 season. “It was about the hustle, the resilience and the heart it took to get there. We weren’t the biggest or highest-ranked team, but we played together, trusted each other, and when it mattered most – we delivered.”

Since graduation, Singer has worked in the Office of Admission at Hiram College, Bucknell University and now Denison University, growing from a counselor position to an associate director. In every role, she’s focused on building strong relationships and making the college search process more personable and accessible. Singer currently lives in Westerville, OH and is a fitness enthusiast and avid golfer when she is away from work.
