Wyss was a two-time NCAA Division III All-American, winning the honor in the 142 lbs. weight class in 1981, and in the 134 lbs. weight class in 1982. He was also the individual PAC Champion at 134 lbs. in 1982 and the PAC Runner-up at 142 lbs. in 1980.
