William H. Hollinger Hall of Fame
James Warstler is remembered at Hiram for his record-breaking performance as a basketball guard. A varsity basketball player for four years, Warstler set Hiram records for most points scored in a single game with 42, most points in a season with 543 and most points in a four year career with 1,728. He was voted the Terriers' Most Valuable ,Player and named to the Ohio Conference All-Star Team three times.
Following.graduation, Warstler played AAU basketball with Cleveland Airmatic Valve and also played guard for the Goodyear Wingfoots. He passed away in 1972.
