William H. Hollinger Hall of Fame
A member of the H-Club, Psych club, Alpha Lambda Delta, Omicron Delta Kappa and Phi Beta Kappa, it's a wonder Beth found time to excel on the field ... but excel she did in both volleyball and track.
Beth served as co-captain of both squads during her career and was selected to the 1987 GTE Academic All-Region Volleyball Team. As recipient of the Charles A Henry Award, given annually to an outstanding male or female scholar athlete in the junior class, that same year, she led the volleyball team in spikes (95) and blocks (32). As a member of the track team, she was instrumental in leading Hiram to win four consecutive outdoor track championships (1984-1987) and winning the first ever PAC Women's All Sports trophy in 1985-1986. She still holds the outdoor track school record in the 100-meter hurdles (16.33) which she set as a senior.
Following graduation, Beth went on to earn a Masters in Health and Physical Education and was certified in Behavioral Analysis. She worked as a counselor for a juvenile habitual offender program, was club director for Boys and Girls Clubs of NE Florida and case manager for Early Delinquent Intervention Program at Daniel Memorial, Inc. In her spare time, she coached junior high girls volleyball and club volleyball in NW Florida.
As of her induction, Beth is a stay at home mom to daughter McKenzie, something she never expected. She and husband Mike, a 1988 Hiram graduate, live in Jacksonville, Florida.
