David Taylor '88 made his mark as a Terrier with both the track and field and cross country programs.

Taylor's best performances came on the cross country track, where he was a four-time letter winner for the Terriers. A three-time All-President's Athletic Conference honoree, Taylor earned the individual championship and was named Runner of the Year during the 1987 season. That year, Taylor also qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championships, where he placed 10th, coming just two spots shy of All-American status.

Along with his '87 season, Taylor earned two other all-conference honors, including a ninth-place finish as a freshman in 1984, and a second-place mark in 1986. He was named team captain and Hiram team MVP, twice, and still holds the Hiram record in the 8k course with a mark of 24:59.

Named to the PAC's 60th Anniversary team in 2014, Taylor was also a First-Team All-PAC honoree in track and field in 1986-87.

Following graduation, Taylor was active working with youth, in both camps and church groups as a counselor and coach. A third-degree Masonic Mason, Taylor, as of his induction, worked as an electrician in Parma, Ohio.

In addition to his work, David has performed as both an actor and singer in both church choirs and on the theater stage, where he has worked in musicals.
