Nancy was one of the pioneers for the Hiram College women's athletic program. She was a letter winner in two sports- field hockey and swimming - when the NCAA officially sanctioned women's athletics in 1974. Named the Most Improved Player for the field hockey team as a freshman, she went on to become tri-captain as a senior. The field hockey team finished 14-11-5 during her four-year career. Nancy also served as the tri-captain
of the swim team as a senior.
After working as a stay at home mom for 10 years, Nancy got her teaching certificate and joined the Crestwood High School faculty teaching Math, a position she continued as of her induction. Still, she finds time to serve as treasurer for the Portage County Republican Women's Club and participate in the Hiram Research Club. But a role she truly relishes is that of her family's self-described No. 1 Cheerleader.
An assistant coach for the Terrier's swim team from 1988-1995, Nancy continues to challenge herself on the Ohio Master's Swim Team.
