William H. Hollinger Hall of Fame
A two-season football and basketball player, Robert's main emphasis and expertise was in the area of track and field.
Hiram joined the PAC at the beginning of Wysenski’s senior year, but he made the most of his one opportunity, becoming a four-time PAC Champion by winning the 120 HH, the 440 IH, the long jump, and the triple jump, and was a member of two runner-up relay teams. For his efforts, he was named the PAC Most Valuable Performer and helped lead Hiram to a 2nd place finish in its first year of PAC competition. Prior to Hiram joining the PAC, Bob won All-OAC honors in football, basketball, and track during the first three years of his college career and received the Campbell Award in 1972 as Hiram’s Male Student-Athlete of the Year.
During these "early years" Robert lived and worked at what is now the James H. Barrow Field Station, and was a member of Phi Gamma Epsilon.
At the time of his induction, Wysenski was an environmental scientist for the Ohio EPA and a member of the Hiram College Advisory Board - Project Excellence in the Biological Sciences.
