Debbie Glass Wordell was a member of the Terriers' basketball, volleyball and track teams from 1984-1988. She earned a total of eight varsity letters in volleyball and track, and three in women's basketball. A four-time selection to the All-President's Athletic Conference track team, Wordell received PAC MVP honors in 1985. She also set Hiram College women's track records in the 1,500 meters; 3,000 meters; and high jump.

In the inaugural PAC Women’s Track Championship Meet in 1985, Glass Wordell set the record for the number of points won by an individual, finishing first in the 800m, the 1500m, the 5000m, and the high jump, while taking 3rd place in the triple jump and the 400m IH, and also being a member of the 2nd place 4x100m relay team. For this outstanding effort, she was named the first-ever PAC Most Valuable Performer in women’s track. A ten-time PAC Champion during her career, she helped lead Hiram to three consecutive team championships during the first three years of PAC competition, and held the school records in the 1500m, the 3000m, and the 5000m when she graduated.

Since graduating from Hiram, Wordell has served as a teacher and coach at various high schools throughout the area. As of her induction, she was the head volleyball coach at Ursuline College.
