Hunt Jr. showed his leadership as captain of the basketball and track teams in both his junior and senior years. Hunt led the basketball team in scoring and earned All-OAC honors in his junior and senior seasons. His junior year, Clifford won the Terrier Award which recognized him as the most outstanding athlete at Hiram College.
