David “Dave” Martin won four letters in baseball and three in football. As a football player, Dave earned honorable mention All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference honors as a junior. In baseball, he was twice named first-team All-PAC as a pitcher and was a member of the 1979 PAC championship team. He holds the school record for winning percentage at .850 (17-3) and is fourth on the all-time wins list. Dave is also tied for third for most victories in a single season with seven in 1979.
Dave earned a master’s in engineering from Purdue University in 1982. He worked as a manufacturing simulation consultant for Pritsker Corporation and Symix Corporation from 1982-97. Since 1997 and as of his induction, Dave has served as manager of Software Development for Frontstep Inc. and Infor Global Solutions.
