Stacey Maleckar competed in both field hockey and women’s basketball. In field hockey, she won four letters and twice was named first-team All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference. Her outstanding playing helped Hiram to win the 1987 and 1988 PAC championships. In addition, Stacey served as team captain during her senior season. In basketball, Stacey also won three letters and was selected to the Hiram College Holiday Classic All-Tournament team as a junior.
Since 1999 and at the time of her induction, Stacey has served as the Adult Activities Services Manager of the Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities’ Euclid Adult Activity Center. Prior to her current position at the time of her induction, Stacey was the head softball coach at Hiram from 1995-99 and served as an assistant women’s basketball coach. Stacey also coached stops at Lakeland Community College and Walterboro High School in Walterboro, South Carolina.
