Blackmore enjoyed success in three sports during his Hiram College career before graduating in 1974. Not only did Blackmore participate in three sports while earning his degree, he was one of the best in the Presidents' Athletic Conference in each sport.

As a member of the Hiram cross country team, Keith was captain and the most valuable player in 1971 and again in 1973. Keith's success in wrestling is as impressive. Blackmore was a two-time All-PAC selection, finishing fourth in the PAC Championships in 1971, and eighth in 1973. He was Team Captain and MVP three years, and was the No. 1 runner on the Hiram team all three years he competed. Keith also won a PAC Wrestling Championship 1973. Spring was not "off-season" for Keith. He participated in track and was a talented distance runner.

Away from the athletic fields, Keith was active in the Hiram College biology club. His interest in the field led him to become a veterinarian and, as of his induction, he continues in the discipline today as the owner of Paris Hill Veterinary Services in Paris, New York.
