William H. Hollinger Hall of Fame
A member of the 1927 Hiram College baseball team that captured the Ohio Athletic Conference championship, Ralph Welshimer was an exceptional athlete, earning three letters in baseball and two in basketball during his college career.
Welshimer went on to excel in baseball earning a place in the Canton Fast-Pitch Hall of Fame and the Hall of Fame of Greater Stark County.
Now retired, Welshimer remained close to sports by owning and operating a chain of bowling centers and sporting goods stores. As of his induction, he is enjoying retirement and playing golf.
