Michael Rogich graduated from Hiram in 1997 and was an accomplished soccer player all four years as a student-athlete. He was a four-year letter winner and a two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference award winner.
Rogich earned second-team All-OAC accolades as a junior (1995) and went on to cap a standout career as a first-team pick following his senior season in 1996. He was also the 1996 OAC Offensive Player of the Year and was a first-team All-Ohio pick, NSCAA All-Mideast Region, and All-American. During Rogich’s career, Hiram posted a 58-19-5 record and made the program’s only NCAA Division III National Tournament appearance in 1995, advancing to the “Sweet 16” round. Rogich was a member of the squads that captured two OAC Tournament titles (1994 and 1996) and finished as runners-up in 1993 and 1995. Rogich left his mark in the Hiram record books with a combined four single-season and career men’s soccer records. Rogich is the current single-season record holder for goals in a season (17) and total points in a season (44). He also owns the career mark in goals scored (41) and in total points (109) having scored 41 goals and 26 assists. In addition, his 26 career assists ranks second alltime in program history. Rogich played in 79 career games, which also ranks second most by any Terrier.
After graduation, Rogich received a playing contract with the Rockford Raptors of the USISL (United States Interregional Soccer League) Professional League in 1997. As of his induction, he was an Ohio Board Certified Health Inspector with the Delaware General Health District in Delaware, Ohio. In addition to being named to the Hiram Hall of Fame, Rogich is also a member of the Ursuline High School Hall of Fame in Youngstown, Ohio. Rogich currently resides in Powell, Ohio.
