Katie (Wilhelm) Pelphrey was a standout student-athlete at Hiram in both cross country and track & field. During her career, she won three letters in track, two in cross country and one in soccer.
She earned All-NCAC honors in Hiram’s first year in the conference in 1999 and also garnered in All-NCAC accolades in 1999 and 2000 in track & field. Wilhelm won the Petroskey Award as the female student-athlete of the year in 2000. She set and currently still holds school records in the indoor 3,000-meter run, outdoor 1,500-meter run, outdoor 5,000-meter run and outdoor 10,000-meter run.
Upon her graduation from Hiram in 2001, Wilhelm went on to the University of Findlay to study Nuclear Medicine Technology. As of her induction, she has been a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the Cleveland Clinic since 2002. She still actively runs and has qualified for the Boston Marathon.
