Campbell Jr. stands alone as Hiram’s all-time receptions leader; his 207 career receptions are 45 more than any other student-athlete in the history of the program. He also ranks second in receiving yards (2,345), fourth in receiving touchdowns (15) and fourth in all-purpose yards (2,875). Campbell Jr. also joined Don Raw (1973-75) and Bryan Moore (1996-97) as the third Hiram student-athlete to lead his team in receiving yards in three straight seasons.
The numbers spoke for themselves, but Campbell Jr. also racked up the hardware during his four seasons as a First Team All-NCAC selection and Plain Dealer All-Ohio Second Team honoree in 2010, as well as an Honorable Mention All-NCAC winner in 2009. He earned Hiram’s Donald M. Campbell Award in 2011, which is given to the outstanding male athlete of the year across all of Hiram’s varsity sports teams.
Campbell Jr. also shined as a four-year student-athlete with the men’s basketball team, ranking among the team’s best defenders and earning NCAC Athlete of the Week in 2009. He finished his basketball career with 627 points, 270 rebounds and 162 assists.
Following his time at Hiram College, Campbell Jr. worked as a juvenile diversion community service worker with the Juvenile Diversion Program at the Akron Police Department from 2011 to 2019. The program is designed to monitor and assist first-time juvenile offenders to reduce the risk of future involvement in the juvenile justice system. Over the last 11 years, he has worked in the Sherwin Williams corporate office as an operations account representative.
Campbell Jr.’s other hobbies include coaching and serving as a football trainer.
