Carrie McCaughtry was a standout student-athlete for Hiram in softball, earning letters all four seasons she played. She was named team MVP for three consecutive seasons (1999-2001) and was a team captain for two years.
McCaughtry earned First Team All-NCAC and All-Region honors in 2000 and 2001. She is Hiram’s all-time career leader in batting average with a .394 mark. In addition, McCaughtry holds the single season batting average record, hitting .490 in 2001. She currently ranks fifth in career hits (159), seventh in RBI’s (70) and seventh in doubles (32). McCaughtry was also named to the All-NCAC Decade Team in 2004.
As of her induction, McCaughtry works as an Environmental Sanitarian (health inspector) for the Lenawee County Health Department. In addition, she owns and operates her own photography business.
