William H. Hollinger Hall of Fame
When Jim began his collegiate baseball career as a freshman, it was as an outfielder. However, it wasn't until his sophomore year that he made the transition to catcher. Behind the plate, Jim was an All-Conference selection as well as the team captain in his junior and senior year.
On campus, Jim was a member of Kappa Sigma Pi, as well as active in the Newman Club, a Catholic discussion group. He was also employed in the Bancroft Dining Hall.
As of his induction, Jim works as a baseball umpire for semi-pro, college, and high school leagues. For the past 20 years, Jim has also served as a volunteer with the Institute of Cultural Affairs, a non-profit organization that works with businesses, communities, and other organizations. He is also a member of YMCA and serves as an election official. In his spare time, Jim enjoys fishing, skiing, and reading.
