William H. Hollinger Hall of Fame
Groselle was a five-time All-American in his junior and senior seasons in the freestyle sprints, and was the NCAA Division III National Champion in the 50 Freestyle in 1976. He was an eight-time PAC Individual Champion in the freestyle sprint events from 1973 to 1976. Jack won the PAC Most Valuable Swimmer Award in 1976, and also received the Campbell Award as Hiram’s Male Student Athlete of the Year that same year. Upon graduation, he held six school records in the freestyle sprints and relays, and still holds the school record for the 50 Freestyle with a time of 21.2 seconds, set in 1975.
Out of the pool, he also was a member of the H-Club and Phi Gamma Epsilon.
In his adult life, Jack has achieved a tremendously successful career in Masters Swimming events, setting over 30 national and world records in numerous events across several age groups. During 2014, in Masters meets held in Windsor, Ontario and Sarasota, Florida, he set four individual world records for the 60-64 age group in the freestyle sprints and medley events, and was also a member of two world record setting relay teams.
More recently, Jack continued to participate in Hiram athletics by coaching the men and women's swimming and diving teams till 2013-14. He is also a past president to the Hiram College Athletic Alumni Association and a past member of the Alumni Executive Board.
Jack is heavily involved in the Hiram community as well as being a self-employed Dairy Farmer. He and his wife Nancy were the couple selected nationally as Young Farmer Association Trustees.
