Shana (Toth) McDonald is perhaps one of the most decorated volleyball players in Hiram College history. The four-year letterwinner helped the Terrier volleyball team to a mark of 96-39 in her four years, while also posting a record of 26-6 in the NCAC.

The pinnacle of success for the team during McDonald's era was the team's NCAC regular season title when the Terriers tallied their first, and only, undefeated conference season in school history. That year, Shana was named the NCAC Player of the Year, an All-Great Lakes Region selection, and an AVCA Division III All-America Honorable Mention honoree.

During her award-winning senior year, McDonald ranked 37th in the Nation in hitting percentage (.363), registering 393 kills and a career-best 225 digs. Additionally, she added 113 total blocks.

McDonald earned First-Team All-NCAC status three times over her final three seasons with the Terriers. She also earned scholar-athlete honors in both 2004-05 and 05-06.

In the Terrier record books, as of her induction, (Toth) McDonald ranks at the top of the leader board in both kills (1,689) and total blocks (756). Her kill total of 486 in 2004 still ranks third on the Terrier's single-season list.

Following graduation, McDonald attended pharmacy school at The Ohio State University, where she earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2011. As of her induction, she worked as a licensed pharmacist for UnityPoint Health hospitals in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
