HIRAM, Ohio - March 16, 2026 - Hiram men's lacrosse is now 4-0 in the month of March after picking up wins over Randolph College, Earlham College and Brevard College this past week. The program has now tied its second-longest winning streak in program history and has been rewarded in multiple ways.
Senior Ethan Bitong took home PAC Defensive Player of the Week, while freshman Remi DeSmith took home his second consecutive weekly award, earning PAC Specialist of the Week, as announced by the Presidents' Athletic Conference on Monday afternoon.
Bitong led Hiram's defensive performance during a 3–0 week, recording seven caused turnovers and 10 ground balls in the wins. The reigning All-NCAC Third Team selection currently leads the Terriers with eight caused turnovers this season and is tied for second on the team with 23 ground balls.
DeSmith remained dominant at the faceoff spot, playing a key role in Hiram's wins by winning more than 50% of his draws against Randolph (9–17), Earlham (14–22), and Brevard (18–23). His 18 faceoff wins against Brevard marked a new career-high. Over those three games, DeSmith also collected 17 ground balls and has made a significant impact since moving into the starting lineup over the past eight days. As the Terriers get ready to open conference play this week, DeSmith currently leads the PAC in faceoff percentage at 66.7%.
Hiram will look to continue its win streak this week as they host the Presidents of Washington and Jefferson College on Wednesday, and then travel to Alma College to face the Scots on Saturday.
