ALMA, MIÂ - March 21, 2026-Â The Hiram men's lacrosse team outscored Alma College 3-1 in the fourth period to force overtime, with the Terriers ultimately falling, 8-7, on Saturday afternoon at Bahlke Field.
Alma carried a four-goal edge midway through the third period before the Terriers mounted a push to force overtime off a goal from Micky Morgan with just 1:54 left in regulation.
As Hiram found themselves down four, Kellen Wetz scored back-to-back goals to wrap up the the third period. Wetz sparked the Terriers remarkable comeback as he recorded three goals, all of which came in the second half. The junior from Findlay, Ohio also assisted Morgan's game-tying goal and now leads the team with 25 points on the season.
Morgan had big contributions as well, as he recorded two goals and one assist. The Clayton, OH native has been consistent all year for the Terriers as he has recorded two or more points in six straight games.
Will Minggia and Tyler Wolke also contributed a goal apiece. Connor Randell paced the team with five ground balls while Remi DeSmith and Gino Hayes converted 44% (8-18) of face offs.
The Terriers will ramp for conference play as they travel to Allegheny College on Wednesday afternoon to take on the Gators at 1 p.m.
