Hiram Gets Defensive Contributions Despite Defeat To Gators

Terriers Fall In Lone Game Of The Week

MEADVILLE, Pennsylvania - March 25, 2026 - Hiram men's lacrosse started strong in the early stages, but a 13-0 run by Allegheny proved to be the difference in a 15-2 loss to the Gators on Wednesday evening.

The Terriers got their contributions from Micky Morgan and Gabe Weiford; Morgan netted a man-up goal on an assist from Weiford to even the score at 1-1 before Weiford scored an unassisted goal to level the tally at 2-2. For Weiford, the goal and assist were both the first of his collegiate career.

Despite the loss, Hiram's defense held its ground to keep the road team within striking distance. Ethan Bitong had four caused turnovers and Aidan Griffin had 16 saves, as the pair of seniors – and the pair of PAC Defensive Players of the Week – continue to take a step forward in their final collegiate seasons. Gray Perry led the team with eight ground balls and tacked on four caused turnovers, too.

Allegheny was led by JP Rakis, who had six goals and four assists.

Hiram will return to the field next Wednesday, when it hosts Franciscan at 7 p.m. and celebrates its five seniors as part of Senior Day at Henry Field in Hiram, OH.
