HIRAM, Ohio -- The Hiram College baseball team scored in six of the last seven innings en route to a 16-6 win over Wittenberg during NCAC Crossover Weekend on Sunday.

The Terriers conclude the 2015 campaign with a 10-27 overall record and 5-14 mark in the NCAC, while the Tigers end their season at 10-24, 5-14.

Wittenberg got a solo homer in the second to take a 1-0 lead, before Hiram benefitted from a handful of Tiger errors to take a 3-1 lead in the third.

Wittenberg would answer with a run in the bottom of the third, but Hiram would plate a run in the fourth when senior Ron DeAmicis (Austintown/Fitch) touched home on a balk to make the score 4-2.

The Tigers would use a 3-run fourth inning to retake the lead, but the Terriers came right back in the fifth with two runs to jump back in front. 

DeAmicis had a RBI single and senior Mark Leone (Boardman) singled. The leftfielder bobbled the ball on the play, allowing junior Trevor Foster (Warren/Champion) to score and give Hiram the 6-5 lead.

Hiram would add four more runs in the sixth to open up a 10-5 edge. Freshman Kyle Watson (Warren/Howland) recorded a bases loaded walk, freshman Phil Ward (Garfield Heights) had a RBI groundout and Leone singled in a run in the frame.

The Terriers continued to expand their lead in the seventh, scoring five more times to put the game away. Senior Jim Jaksa (Chesterland/West Geauga) scored on a wild pitch and DeAmicis and Leone each record 2-RBI hits in the frame.

Wittenberg got a run in the eighth, but Foster connected on a solo homer to center in the ninth to close out the scoring.

Senior Pat Rhodes (Girard) went 6.0 innings, giving up two earned runs and striking out two batters to pick up his second win of the season in his final collegiate start.

Leone went 3-for-5 with 4-RBI's, DeAmicis collected three hits, drove in three runs and scored twice and sophomore Kyle Torok (Kirtland) finished with his first career three hit game, while scoring two runs.

In all, all nine starters either got one hit or scored a run in the victory.
