NEW WILMINGTON, Pennsylvania - May 2, 2026 - Hiram baseball lost its final two games of the 2026 season to Westminster, 10-1 and 7-2, on Saturday afternoon.
It's a tough end to a remarkable season for the Terriers, who will finish one game behind Chatham for the sixth and final spot in the PAC Tournament. Hiram recorded a 12-10 mark in its first season in the PAC since 1989; the 12 conference wins were the most in a single season in program history.
Despite the two losses, Hiram still finished the year winning seven of its last 10 conference games. The team had five doubleheader sweeps on the season, and will surely feature multiple selections on the year-end all-conference teams.
Matthew Trimble led the offense with three hits on his final day of collegiate baseball; Brady Trem added a double in Game 1 and Luke Snider had an RBI triple in Game 2. Tyler Fernandez also made his return to the diamond, lifting a sacrifice fly.
Braeden Kinnaird threw 3.2 innings of one-run ball in relief in the first game, while Tyler Leasure neared a quality start with a line of 5 IP, 3 H, 2 R/ER, 4 BB, 2 K as the starter for the second game. Cody Horvath, Savian Wilkins and Kalib Ruch also had scoreless relief appearances on the day.
Not only do the Terriers have plenty to be proud of, but they also have plenty to look forward to. The team will return a huge portion of its roster heading into 2027, where the team will look to take the next step and take aim at a conference title.
