HIRAM, Ohio - June 3, 2026 - Hiram Baseball's Nicolas Chernitsky, Logan Gallentine, Ethan Ryan, Luke Snider and Ben Yoder all earned CSC Academic All-District Team honors, as announced by the College Sports Communicators organization in a release on Tuesday.

To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore and achieve a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50; they also must participate in at least 90% of games or start in at least two-thirds of the team's contests throughout the season.

Chernitsky was a staple in the starting rotation, logging team-bests in wins (five), innings pitched (64), strikeouts (69) and ERA (4.92, min. 30 IP). An All-PAC Honorable Mention selection, Chernitsky notably posted dominant outings with 12 strikeouts against Franciscan on Mar. 28 and 11 strikeouts against St. Vincent on April 26 – both outings ended in winning efforts for the junior right-hander from Elyria, OH.

Gallentine wrapped up his collegiate career with another award; a former NCAC Player of the Week, Gallentine ranked fourth among qualified hitters on the team with a .293 batting average, and ranked second on the team with a .345 batting average in PAC games. For his four-year career, the North Canton, OH native finished with over 100 career hits (107) over 120 games played.

Ryan was a catalyst atop the Hiram batting order and defensively, too, recording a .960 fielding percentage and committing just five errors while primarily playing the shortstop position. He also led the roster with 18 walks. Now entering his senior season, the Pataskala, OH product will continue to be relied heavily upon on both sides of the ball.

Snider was a candidate for All-Conference and All-Region honors after posting team-leading numbers across multiple categories: batting average (.351), slugging percentage (.519), on-base percentage (.424), hits (46), doubles (9) and triples (2). The junior outfielder hit safely in 11 of his last 12 games, putting his team within striking distance of earning its second playoff berth since the turn of the century.

Yoder capped off his career with a well-deserved honor; the athletic outfielder from Alliance, OH ranked fifth among qualified hitters on the team with a .270 batting average, while also commanding the defense in center field. Yoder leads all players in this group with 122 career games played and 111 starts.

The Terriers have big expectations as they now turn the page to 2027; the team has a great chance to make the PAC Tournament, with key pitchers and hitters set to return to the fold at Fishel Field in Hiram, OH.
