Hiram, Ohio – April 21, 2026 – Matthew Trimble of baseball and Chloe Cooper of track & field were selected this week as the recipients of Terriers of the Week. This comes after impressive performances by each student-athlete which helped lead their team to great results.
Matthew Trimble finished 9-19 at the plate in the four games this week against Chatham and Waynesburg, adding 5 RBI's and 4 runs scored as well. The senior from Twinsburg, OH is currently batting .326 with a .794 OPS. Trimble has also batted in 16 RBI's this season, which ranks 3rd on the team. Trimble will look to continue his hot hitting next week, as the Terriers will return to PAC play Wednesday, hosting Geneva College for a doubleheader.
Chloe Cooper was outstanding Friday at the Sparky Adams Invite hosted by Baldwin Wallace University. Cooper recorded an impressive performance in the hammer throw, finishing with a mark of 40.91 m in that event, which was good enough for a 10th place finish. The junior from Hanoverton, OH then followed up that performance with a mark of 9.09 m in the shotput. Cooper and the rest of the Hiram track & field team will be back in action on Wednesday, when they travel to Mount Union for the Mount Union Tuneup.
