Horvath Takes Down PAC Pitcher of The Week Following Scoreless Relief Outings

Terriers Go 4-0 This Past Week Behind Efforts From Senior Left-Hander

HIRAM, Ohio – April 20, 2026 – Hiram's Cody Horvath was named the PAC Pitcher of the Week following a trio of scoreless relief appearances as part of a 4-0 week for the Terriers baseball team.

Horvath played a big role in propelling the Terriers to the No. 6 spot in the PAC standings, which puts Hiram on pace to make a conference tournament for the first time since 2005, when the team was in the NCAC. The senior left-hander worked five shutout innings against Chatham and Waynesburg, earning a win and save along the way.

For the season, Horvath has already set career-bests in wins (two), appearances (12), saves (three), innings pitched (21) and strikeouts (21). His 2.14 ERA on the season is best on the Terriers roster among pitchers with at least 10 innings pitched.

Most importantly, the senior southpaw has established himself as a reliable option in the backend of the Hiram bullpen.

The Terriers will be back in action on Wednesday, when they host Geneva for a PAC doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. at Proverbs Park in Hiram, OH.
