HIRAM, Ohio - June 26, 2025 - Following an All-American career at Albion College (Division III, Albion, MI), former standout thrower Eddie Hines officially joined Hiram College track & field as one of its assistant coaches for the 2025-26 season and beyond. Hines will be the program's throws coach following a statement season to wrap up a remarkable collegiate career.
Hines was a Second-Team All-American in the shot put and a first team all-conference selection in both the shot put and discus over his four years as a thrower. With the football team, Hines earned Second-Team All-MIAA honors in 2023 and finished four seasons on the defensive line.
Hines earned his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Albion College this past spring, and earned a spot on the College's Dean's List for the entirety of his collegiate career (3.5+ GPA). He is originally from Grand Rapids, MI, where he attended Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School. Â
Hiram track & field will return to campus toward the end of August ahead of a 2025-26 season that is filled with anticipation, as the Terriers' return to PAC competition.
