Alliance, OH – May 14, 2026- The Hiram Terrier track & field team traveled to the University of Mount Union for a two-day event, with the Terriers competing hard in adverse conditions.
Day 1 Recap
The Terriers started the meet Wednesday afternoon in the hammer throw, with multiple Terriers having great days. For the women, Angelina Weems placed third with a mark of 41.12 m. Chloe Cooper and Rylie Petroff were right behind Weems, with Cooper placing fourth with a mark of 38.99 m, and Petroff placing fifth with a mark of 36.96 m. On the men's side, Kenta Poole placed eighth with a mark of 40.62 m. Kylie Moser also competed in the heptathlon, where Moser would end up placing first with a total of 3923 points, closing out the first day for Hiram.
Day 2 Recap
Hiram started out their second day continuing the field events, where in the men's long jump, Tucker Marmash won the event, jumping a mark of 7.01 m. In the women's high jump, Karalyn Rutkowski placed second in that event, clearing a mark of 1.60 m.
On the track side, Trezure Bates qualified for the 100 hurdle finals, with Bates setting a new school record and personal best in the final, running an impressive time of 14.94. In the men's 800, Aidan Shiels finished second in his race, running a time of 1:58.10 in very windy conditions. In the women's 400 hurdles, Makyndree Smith and Kylee Neer placed fourth and fifth, with Smith running a time of 1:11.50 and Neer running a time of 1:14.14. On the men's side of the event, Sebastian Regalado placed sixth, running a time of 1:00.99.
What's Next
Hiram Track & Field will return to action next year, when they continue competition as a member of the PAC, with plenty of goals already set for next season.
