Men's Soccer Battles Medaille in Double Overtime Home-Opener

Sept.6- HIRAM, Ohio- The Hiram College men's soccer team battled to a double-overtime tie (0-0) in a matchup against Medaille in their home-opener, Friday afternoon. 
 
The Terriers stand at 2-0-1 on the season, while the Mavericks are 0-1-1. 
 
Despite the host holding a 6-0 advantage in shots, the game was knotted 0-0 at the half.   
 
The second half would prove to be just as silent with Hiram adding eight shots in the frame. 
 
Neither team would post a shot in the first overtime period pushing the game to another 10-minute period.  
 
In the last frame, the game would see a pair of shots from the Terriers with Giovanni Meza and Keagan Le'Roux each letting off a shot in the final minutes.  
 
In goal, Shelby Edwards finished with his first career tie after tallying six saves in 110 minutes of work.  
 
Offensively, Hiram recorded three shots on goal from Le'Roux, Bryce Harding, and Isaac Opoku.  
 
Hiram will travel to Albion (Mich.) on Sunday, Sept. 8.  The matchup with the Britons is set for 2:30 p.m.
