HIRAM, Ohio -- The Hiram College women's lacrosse team suffered a 18-3 setback against Kenyon in its home finale on Wednesday evening.
The Terriers are now 5-10 on the season and 0-7 in the NCAC, while the Ladies improve to 9-4, 4-3.
Kenyon took control of the game from the start, scoring eight times in the first seven minutes to take a early lead.
The Ladies would eventually build a 13-0 lead at the half.
In the second half, freshman Alyse Gillentine (Hartville/Lake) got the Terriers on the board with a goal at the 22:50 mark.
Sophomore Autumn Osgood (Hyde Park, Vt./Lamoille Union) added the final two scores for Hiram in the second half. She now has a school record 33 goals on the season.
In goal, freshman Rachel Metcalf (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) made five stops.
The Ladies held a 35-11 edge in shots and also a 18-10 advantage in ground balls.
Hiram will close out the 2015 campaign on Saturday with a road contest at Denison that will begin at 1 p.m.
