DELAWARE, Ohio -- The Hiram College men's soccer team fell in its season finale to No. 22-ranked Ohio Wesleyan by a 3-1 score on Saturday.
The Terriers end the season with a 6-9-3 mark and a 2-6-1 record in the NCAC, while the Battling Bishops stand at 14-3-2, 7-1-1.
Ohio Wesleyan got on the board in the 21st minute on a goal by Pheonix Neitzlet off of a corner kick.
Hiram responded at the 34:42 mark to tie the match, when senior Richie Webb (London, England/Laude Lady Elizabeth School) converted a free kick.
OWU would take the lead in the 63rd minute and tacked on an insurance goal at the 76:15 mark.
Senior Matt Sacher (Akron, Ohio/Coventry) made five saves in goal for the Terriers.
The Battling Bishops held an 18-8 edge in shots and a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.
