WILMINGTON, OHIO -- The Hiram College men's swimming & diving team fell to Wilmington 127-71 on Saturday afternoon.
The Terriers see their record drop to 0-6, while the Quakers improve to 3-2.
The 400-meter freestyle relay team of freshman John Kost (Chantilly, Va./Westfield), Jonathan Ruiz (Freeport, N.Y.), Kyle Sarver (Parma/Parma Senior) and Rylan Zeis (Newark/Granville) touched first in 4:10.13.
Kost was second in the 400-meter IM in 5:22.24 and the 100-meter backstroke in 1:09.94.
Sophomore Jordan Canevari (Vero Beach, Fla./St. Edwards) was second in the 800-meter freestyle and Ruiz touched second in the 100-meter butterfly with a season-best time of 1:06.34.
Junior Danny Essel (Euclid) recorded a second place finish in the 100-meter breaststroke in 1:16.20.
Hiram will compete on November 22, when it travels to take on Baldwin Wallace at 1 p.m.
